After pursuing a degree in fine art at Northern Essex Community College, Natalie moved to Manhattan to study illustration at the School of Visual Arts.  Her studies led her to Boston where she received a BFA in Illustration at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Since then her work has appeared in magazines, children's books, and greeting cards.

Throughout her studies she was encouraged to combine 2D and 3D media.  That combination evolved into her current style using clay, various paints, photography, and digital mediums. This process begins with a sketched idea.  Then the set and characters are created with clay and other materials.  The characters and scene are put together, photographed and then processed in Adobe Photoshop for finishing touches.

With a strong emphasis in 3D and digital mediums Natalie continues to work with other mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, and pencil in her personal work.
